Boys & Girls welcomed and encouraged to play

  • Focus on Fundamentals of Football: offensive and defensive rules and tactics, scoring, and much more!
  • Ages: Kindergarten - 5th grade
  • Location: Lakeshore Park
  • Register as a team or sign up as an individual

Practices

  • Each team will practice once during the week at Lakeshore Park with the option to practice on Sundays prior to their scheduled game.

Games

  • Games will be held at Lakeshore Park on Sunday afternoons.
  • KYS will hold a season-ending tournament for all leagues following the last regular season game.  The tournament is generally played at night, during the week, under the lights.

Dates

  • Registration starts Friday, June 23, 2023
  • Registration ends Friday, August 11, 2023
  • Coaches' meeetings - week of August 14, 2023
  • KYS Shopping Weekend at Dick's House of Sports - August 18-21;  20% off your purchase
  • Games start Sunday, August 27, 2023
  • No games on Sunday of Labor Day weekend (September 3, 2023)
  • NO GAMES ON THE FIRST SUNDAY (October 8th) OF FALL BREAK FOR KNOX COUNTY SCHOOLS!
  • Last regular season game will be Sunday October 29, 2023.
  • Tournament will be the week of October 30th in the evenings.

Age Groups

Players will be grouped and compete in the following division of groups according to their current grade:

  • Kindergarten to 1st Grade
  • 2nd Grade to 3rd Grade
  • 4th Grade to 5th Grade

Team Selection

  • Coaches will draft kids to form their teams.
  • Coaches can bring a group of kids into the league as a team. (Please note: Any team(s) that register with less than 10 kids will have individual registrants added to their team(s) in order to fill a full roster.)
  • MAX ROSTER IS 10 KIDS PER TEAM.
  • Boys and girls will play in divisions with children in the appropriate grade levels.
  • We will do our best to fill any special requests as it relates to children playing together, but we cannot guarantee all requests.
